Dr. Emily DiAngelo is a professional oboist, dedicated educator, and arts advocate and organizer. She has been teaching private oboe and piano lessons for 15+ years, including current faculty positions at Cornell University and Luzerne Music Center. An avid performer, Emily founded the Ithaca New Music Collective in 2015. She is a passionate advocate for commissioning and performing new music by a diverse group of contemporary composers, including BIPOC and female identifying artists.
Emily believes in the tireless fight for equity and inclusion within the music industry. The performing arts is a livelihood and Emily continues to create opportunity to secure fair and thriving wages that empower the entire arts community.
